LMHT: Gamers Raising Voices Calling on Riot Games to Fulfill Promise Made 7 Months Ago
Runeterra universe of LMHT captivates gamers through short stories of champions, sideline comics, or adaptations like Arcane. However, recently Riot has been releasing new champions without caring about the storyline. Consequently, players immediately 'spam' feedback requesting Riot Games to fulfill the promise of updating the champion storyline.
In January 2023, Riot Games shared information that they would update the storytelling to help champions have more consistent connections across Runeterra. But now it's September 4th, Riot has yet to take any action on this, leaving players interested in the game's storyline very dissatisfied. Many longtime players have posted on LMHT subreddit to voice their complaints.
Some gamers have provided numerous evidence that Riot Games is no longer interested in building the storyline as before. A prime example is the introduction of the new champion Briar, apart from a few images from the beginning of the season and a short cinematic, this champion has almost nothing else for players to understand more about the character. Or many other promises have not been fulfilled, and players have compiled all of them in the post below:
Furthermore, some pessimistic players say that Riot Games only promises and then postpones, waiting for everyone to forget. When someone reminds, Riot will 'reboot' the promise to appear to listen to players' opinions. Perhaps in the near future, Riot needs to take specific actions to appease the player community, or at least update the vague storyline part for the champions.
