With the aim of accelerating matchmaking for players, Riot introduced a new mode called Quick Play in the recent 13.22 update. In this mode, players can select their champion, position, and rune page before finding a match, thus saving a lot of time. However, shortly after its debut, this mode immediately encountered diverse opinions from the League of Legends gaming community.

However, what frustrates gamers is the wait time to start a 'quick' match, which is still quite long due to very few players choosing the support role. Instead of finding a match within 1-2 minutes and selecting champions within about 5 minutes in draft mode, players may now have to wait 10-15 minutes to start a quick match.

In addition, not every gamer gets to play in their preferred role in quick play mode, leading to frequent instances of game disruption. Since players cannot change their summoner spells after the match starts, situations where two players go jungle can occur, causing many players to find themselves in frustrating situations while playing the game.

Clearly, the quick play mode was introduced with good intentions for gamers, but various issues are causing it to deviate from Riot's initial direction. It's highly likely that in upcoming patches, Riot will make adjustments to improve players' experience with the quick play mode.
