Recently, a New Device Codenamed Google Akita Surfaced on Geekbench's Database. This Could Be the Pixel 8a.
According to Geekbench Database, Akita Will Sport a Downclocked Tensor G3 Processor and Mali-G715 GPU. The Device Comes with 8GB of RAM and Will Ship with Android 14 Out of the Box. It Scored 1218 in Single-Core and 3175 in Multi-Core Tests.
Remaining Details About Pixel 8a are Still Under Wraps. In December 2022, Android Authority Revealed That the Device's Codename is 'Akita', Following Google's Tradition of Animal-Inspired Naming for Pixel Devices. However, It's Still Unclear Whether Pixel 8a Will See the Light of Day.
According to sources, Google may only introduce a new A series model every two years. Since the Pixel 7a was launched in 2023, the next phone in the A series lineup could be unveiled in 2025. By that time, Google could name the product Pixel 9a, or even rename this product line by choosing a different name, such as removing the number from the title.
