In his post, Lei Jun introduces us to the MIX Fold 3 experience video. From the video, the phone prototype appears sleek and lightweight. The leather back provides a premium feel to the device. Additionally, Lei Jun demonstrates the phone's time-lapse video capabilities, leveraging the advantages of the foldable screen design.
Regarding specs, it's been revealed that the MIX Fold 3 will feature a foldable AMOLED display measuring 8.02 inches with a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. According to Lei Jun, with a continuous display of a white image at 500 nits brightness on the foldable screen and the screen kept on until the power is turned off, the MIX Fold 3 delivers an impressive battery life of 8 hours and 20 minutes. This figure is 52% longer than the previous generation.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 set to launch later todayAs a result, the MIX Fold 3 boasts an impressive battery life of 1.34 days. This achievement is made possible by the combination of a dual-cell battery system and Xiaomi Surge chip. The brand has yet to disclose the device's battery capacity, but earlier reports have stated it will feature a 4,800mAh battery with wired fast charging at 67W and wireless charging at 50W.
Furthermore, the MIX Fold 3 will be the company's first foldable smartphone with a quad-camera setup optimized by Leica, featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor. One of the notable improvements of this phone comes from its new hinge, making it more durable, thinner, and lighter than the previous generation.
