1. Clear Browsing History and Cookies in Google Chrome
Google Chrome stands as the most popular web browser today, chosen by many for its professional features. If you're using Chrome, follow the steps below to clear your web history.
Open Google Chrome, click on the menu icon at the top right corner of the screen, then select Settings
At this step, choose Clear browsing data…
At this step, select the time frame you want to delete under Obliterate following items from with time frames like the past hour, past day,… Additionally, you can choose the data types to delete by ticking or unticking as seen in Firefox.
After selecting the parameters, click on Clear browsing data to begin the deletion process.
2. Clear Browsing History and Cookies in Firefox
Firefox is considered the lightest web browser today. Using Firefox, users can open dozens of tabs without experiencing stuttering or lag compared to other browsers. Follow the steps below to clear history and cookies.
Open Firefox, choose History from the menu.
We have 2 options.
- Show All History: View entire history. To delete specific entries, right-click and select Delete This Page.
- Clear Recent History: Deletes history and cookies
+ Choose the time range to clear under Time range to clear.
+ Tick or untick items under Details similar to Internet Explorer above.
+ Items include Browsing & Download History, Form & Search History, Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, and more.
Then select Clear Now to delete.
3. Clear Browsing History and Cookies in Microsoft Edge
- On the Microsoft Edge browser interface, click on the three-dot icon.
- Next, choose Settings.
- In the Clear Browsing Data section, choose Choose what to clear to select the items you want to delete from your web history.
- Here, you make your selections by checking or unchecking the items, then click Clear to delete.
4. Clear Browsing History and Cookies in Internet Explorer
Click on the icon at the top right of the Internet Explorer screen, choose Internet options .
At this step, choose Delete… in the Browsing history section.
In this window, we can choose to delete history, cookies:
- Preserve Favorites website data: Favorite website data.
- Temporary Internet files and website files: Temporary storage of web pages, images,…
- Cookies and website data: Files or data and cookies stored on the computer by websites visited.
- History: Websites we've visited.
- Download History: Files we've downloaded.
- Form data: Saved form information.
- Passwords: Saved password information.
- Tracking Protection ActiveX Filtering and Do Not Track: Stores information automatically shared when accessing websites.
After making your selections, click Delete to erase the information.
5. Clear Browsing History and Cookies in Safari
Open the Safari web browser, click on the icon at the top right of the program, then select Reset Safari…
At this step, we tick or untick the components to clear in Safari. Safari doesn't have a time frame selection step, so if we tick the data types to clear, the program will clear all. After selecting the components to clear, click Reset.
