Before joining Steam Beta mode, it's essential to understand that Steam Beta is a testing version, always using the latest features. However, with Steam Beta mode, you need to be aware that there may be 'instability' issues, and you need to prepare yourself that it may not run as smoothly as the Steam version you are currently using.
Furthermore, in each previous Beta version, users will be notified of its features. Moreover, you have the option to opt out of Steam Beta mode at any time if you feel it's no longer necessary for you.
Step 1: To join Steam Beta mode, simply go to the Steam section > select the Settings section. This is where you can opt into Steam Beta mode.
Step 2: In the Account section, simply click on Change to modify your mode, meaning switching to join Steam Beta mode.
Step 3: In the Beta Participation interface, switch to Steam Beta Update mode and then press OK to confirm the switch.
Step 4: Immediately, you will receive a notification to restart Steam Beta. Of course, click on it right away to proceed with the update for this game title.
Afterwards, you'll notice Steam Beta downloading an additional approximately 90 MB. This 90MB is what you need to join Steam Beta mode, so just wait for it to finish downloading, and you don't need to do anything else.
Upon re-entering Steam, you'll notice some changes in the Store section's interface, although not very different because this Steam Beta version doesn't focus much on the Store section.
Instead, there's the Game Library section. The Library is where your game list is stored, and you can also see that it has been visually enhanced and looks much better than the old version.
Moreover, when you simply click on a specific game title, you'll notice that the display panel has been redesigned to be much more visually appealing and intuitive.
In this new Steam Beta version, you can see that the interface is more optimized. You can find out which games your friends are playing, whether they're online or not.
Moreover, in the current Steam Beta version, players can create individual game profiles to organize their games more efficiently. This feature is particularly useful for those with thousands of games in their Steam library.
Not only that, every time you click on a game cover, you'll see which of your friends are playing that game, along with the amount of time you've spent playing the game in the past week or the total playtime for that game.
Furthermore, by participating in Steam Beta mode, you'll notice significant improvements in the game search system, providing you with the most accurate filters for your gaming needs.
