Additionally, the event introduces the Search and Destroy mode into the battle royale, providing a fresh gameplay experience.
However, players on PS4 truly have a chance to participate in an exclusive tournament named Celebration Cup. The Celebration Cup is an event centered around PS4, allowing participating gamers the chance to win massive prizes. As this event is designed around PS4 controls, there's no concern about mouse and keyboard dominance over console players. It's a completely free event, so PS4 players should take advantage of this excellent opportunity.
1. Join the Celebration Cup
As mentioned earlier, the Celebration Cup is an exclusive event for PS4, meaning players on Xbox One, PC, and mobile cannot compete or participate in any way. The tournament kicks off on 15/02, offering PS4 players the chance to earn some free items and a shot at a portion of the whopping $1,000,000 prize pool.
To join the Celebration Cup, players simply need to navigate to the Compete tab. This means you won't be competing in the Cup by just entering regular Solo matches. On the first day, gamers have the opportunity to earn 3 different items based on the % Top achieved at the end of each match.

2. Celebration Cup Rules
The major rewards kick off on 16/02, where gamers can embark on a journey to claim a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Fortunately, these rewards won't be offset by any V-bucks taxes that players have recently been concerned about. It's crucial to note that the competition spans only 3 hours globally, so players must be well aware of their local time zones to participate. For example, Northeast North America goes from 7 PM - 10 PM, while Northwest North America goes from 5 PM - 8 PM.
Celebration Cup operates on a scoring system, meaning players earn different points at each position. For instance, Victory Royales grant players 10 points, positions 2 through 5 earn 7 points. Finally, the rewards vary in cash value based on player rankings. Rankings go from position 1 down to position 1000, meaning even those with slightly lower ranks can still snag some winnings.
Celebration Cup is a significant event for PS4 players to engage in, as it provides them worldwide the opportunity to earn real money by competing from home.
