Leica has officially introduced the APO-Summicron-SL 28mm F2 ASPH lens for L-mount full-frame cameras. It is constructed with 13 elements, including 6 aspherical lenses and some low-dispersion (LD) lenses to minimize chromatic aberration.
This lens can focus as close as 24cm, with a maximum magnification of 0.2X. The focusing group is driven by a new type of stepper motor called 'Dual Syncro Drive.' The APO-Summicron-SL 28mm F2 ASPH features a redesigned manual focus ring, utilizing magnetism to enhance feedback and precision.
The APO-Summicron-SL 28mm F2 ASPH lens performs exceptionally well under various weather conditions and weighs approximately 700g without the lens hood attached. The filter size for this lens is 67mm.
