Lenovo has provided the most concise glimpses of the next-generation laptop. Although the company hasn't shared many detailed information yet, a 44-second teaser video introduced the ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2, as well as the detachable keyboard.
In summary, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is one of the few devices launched with Intel's short-lived Lakefield architecture. Discontinued a year after its debut, Intel Lakefield processors like the Core i5-L16G7 operated sluggishly and lacked many alternatives for older laptops from Intel's Whiskey Lake architecture.

Lenovo has revealed that the new model will feature a detachable keyboard housing the TrackPoint, the beloved nub of the ThinkPad. The thick bezels of the original ThinkPad X1 Fold have been replaced by much thinner ones. ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen 2 and Razr 2022 set to debut with a similar hinge design.
