Despite not being as famous as Okinawa or Loma Linda, Lerik village in southern Azerbaijan stands tall as one of the places with the highest life expectancy in the world.
Lerik Village: The Epitome of Longevity
Perched atop the Talysh range, Lerik village is among the places boasting a high population density of centenarians. In 1991, out of 63,000 residents, a staggering 200 individuals here achieved the three-digit milestone.

The locals here adhere to seasonal eating habits, predominantly consuming farm-fresh produce and dairy delicacies. Coupled with daily physical activity, both in their work and daily lives, at a moderate pace, they lead lives that are healthy, long, and blissful.
