The highlight of the National Tourism Year 2018 – Hạ Long – Quảng Ninh is the Carnaval Hạ Long 2018 program, scheduled to take place at Sun Square Carnaval Plaza in Hạ Long city on April 28, 2018, invested by Sungroup. It is noted that this year's Carnaval is set to be the largest-scale event ever. Sun Carnaval Plaza - the venue for the carnival, spans over 13 hectares with the most modern facilities in Vietnam. The stage at the square can accommodate up to 6,000 people. The festival is directed by Chief Director Phạm Hoàng Nam with the participation of famous artists from both inside and outside the country, aiming to bring tourists and people of Quảng Ninh a vibrant, multi-colored artistic feast.
This year, Carnaval Hạ Long will last for a week from April 22nd to 28th. The street parade with 12 splendid floats representing the 12 zodiac signs throughout the year will grace the main streets of Bãi Cháy.
The Carnaval Hạ Long 2018 night (April 28th) marks the highlight of this carnival season as it also serves as the opening ceremony for the “2018 National Tourism Year – Hạ Long – Quảng Ninh”. Visitors will indulge in a grand feast of music, lights, and art at Sun Carnival Hạ Long Square, accompanied by dazzling fireworks in the sky, vibrant beats from renowned DJs, and performances by famous musicians like Huy Tuấn, Tùng Dương, Mỹ Linh, Tân Nhàn, and Ca nương Kiều Anh.
