1. LG Introduces New Voice Recognition Technology for Home Appliances
Specifically, LG will bring voice recognition technology to customers through the ThinQ mobile app (formerly known as SmartThinQ). This app supports Google Assistant voice recognition, allowing management of all LG devices with Wi-Fi support including washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, ...

Users will be able to control and monitor devices through voice commands via the ThinQ app. For example, requesting ThinQ to check the remaining time of a laundry cycle from the office or adjusting the temperature of the air conditioner while driving home without having to look at the phone screen.
The ThinQ app also provides information about product features and functions, as well as alerts users to maintenance needs and troubleshooting. Just ask: 'How does the air purifier's automatic filtering function work?' or 'What does the yellow light on the refrigerator mean?' You'll get a response right in the app.

The ThinQ app not only provides answers to most common questions related to product usage, but it can also generate a summary of recent usage activity and provide tips and tricks.
The enhanced ThinQ app will debut first in South Korea this month, followed by North America in Q4 and key European markets next year. It's currently unclear if LG's new voice recognition technology supports Vietnamese.
