Liên Quân Mobile and Free Fire take the spotlight at the Game Day Vietnam 2023.
On April 1st and 2nd, 2023, the Game Day Vietnam 2023 unfolded at Phu Tho Stadium. More than an event for gamers to engage in activities from game publishers, it aimed to honor games, individuals, groups... who dedicated themselves to the Vietnamese gaming scene in the past year. The event, organized by the Department of Radio, Television, and Electronic Information, Ministry of Information and Communications; VnExpress newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Game Alliance.
The highlight of the Game Day Vietnam 2023 was the Game Awards 2023 ceremony on the evening of April 1st. With 14 categories, each having 5 nominations for publishers, products, services, communities, teams, outstanding gamers... the most noteworthy was the Game of the Year award based on community votes and audience scores, claimed by Free Fire.
Accordingly, the Game of the Year award belongs to Free Fire. The most renowned mobile game, boasting a massive player community, triumphed over strong contenders like Liên Quân Mobile and Ta Là Đạo Sĩ Xuất Quan... to secure the throne at the Game Awards 2023.
Meanwhile, Liên Quân Mobile continued its dominance in other equally crucial categories, including Best Mobile Game and Best Esports Game. Lai Bâng, a player from the Liên Quân Saigon Phantom team, also clinched the Outstanding Player award, defeating the 'Jungle God' Levi and Vicoi. Meanwhile, the SGP team claimed the title of Best Game Team.
