Instagram, a social network stemming from the Facebook developer, follows two entirely different operational paths. Nevertheless, due to the common manufacturer, we can still merge the two accounts for convenience in security or login. 1. Linking Instagram with Facebook
Note:
- Currently, Instagram only supports linking Facebook accounts on mobile devices (phones, tablets). Instagram Web cannot be linked yet.
- When linking Instagram and Facebook accounts, we need to log in to the Facebook app on our phone for Instagram to directly receive the information.
Step 1: Launch the Instagram app and select the Profile icon to open your account section. Then choose the Three horizontal lines and select Settings to customize.
Step 2: After accessing Settings, select the Account tab and then continue to select Linked Accounts.
Step 3: Instagram supports linking various accounts. In this article, we guide you on linking with Facebook; you can do the same for other social networks.
When selecting Facebook, a notification will appear below: Continue as... Check if it matches the Facebook account you intend to link.
To change the linked Facebook account, log in to the Facebook account you wish to link in the Facebook App on your mobile device.
Then select Connect.
Step 4: After linking, Instagram will display which account it is linked to. You can verify this.
2. Unlink Instagram from Facebook
To unlink Instagram from Facebook is quite simple, follow the same steps as above and select Unlink Account.
