Following their initial loss in the tournament to a formidable team like U23 South Korea, the Vietnamese Olympic team will progress to the bronze medal match against U23 UAE. Opponents from West Asia have consistently been favorites since the U23 Asian Championship earlier this year. The match is scheduled for 3:00 PM on September 1, and according to the new rules, if the match ends in a draw after 90 minutes, both U23 Vietnam and U23 UAE will go into a penalty shootout without extra time.
