Proud of his alcohol tolerance, a young man livestreams himself continuously drinking 4 bottles of liquor, tragically succumbing to alcohol poisoning hours later.
According to reports, a well-known internet personality with the nickname Tam Thien Ca in China has passed away after boasting about his staggering alcohol tolerance on a livestream.
It's reported that Tam Thien Ca, real name Vương Phong, 34 years old, residing in the city of Lianwan Port, Jiangsu Province, China, passed away after livestreaming his alcohol tolerance. Phong claimed to have an incredible tolerance for alcohol, completely unaware of intoxication. To demonstrate, he drank nearly 4 bottles of liquor during his short livestream.

Unexpectedly, just a few hours later, Vương Phong was found dead, the cause being alcohol poisoning. A friend named Ho Trieu revealed: 'I am a close friend of Vương Phong, never did I expect him to depart so suddenly. Vương Phong ended the livestream around 1 a.m. on May 16th. By 1 p.m., he was discovered to have passed away, showing no signs of life. The cause of death was alcohol poisoning. I don't know if Vương Phong had been drinking prior to that day. During the livestream, I saw him consume nearly 4 bottles (about 2 liters) of liquor. He didn't vomit after the first 3 bottles, so he continued to drink the fourth bottle, only for tragedy to strike.'
Anh Trieu also added that upon receiving news of Vương Phong's death, he hurried to Jiangsu Province in the night to bid farewell to his good friend one last time.
On the day of the cremation (20/5) recently, Mr. Triệu posted a video mourning Vương Phong with the message: 'Today, I came to see you for the last time and wish you a good journey! I pray that in heaven, there will be no more exhausting livestreams, no more ruthless PK battles, and no more deadly alcohol.'
This sharing from Mr. Triệu has drawn attention, leaving many stunned, searching for information, and causing the incident to become a hot search on China's largest social media platform.
After watching, many netizens sighed: 'Selling one's life for money is truly not worth it', 'Livestreaming, can't they just drink water? Who knows? Drinking too much alcohol and suddenly dying, heartbreaking', 'This kind of life-selling and harmful livestreaming should be strictly prohibited', 'Too much alcohol, even drinking too much water at once can lead to poisoning too'.
