LMHT: Players uncover the extraordinary aspect of the 166th new champion - Artisan Mage Hwei
Following the hunger-stricken Briar loli, Riot continues to pave the way for the 166th new champion, Artisan Mage Hwei, from Ionia to join the LMHT family. This champion is clearly inspired by the story of the child painter Ma Luong.
Coming from the magical land of Ionia, Hwei is known as a painter who can bring anything he draws to life. This is all we know about the 166th champion from the Riot development team. All information about Hwei is quite secretive, arousing curiosity among many players. However, recently, the famous leaker Big Bad Bear has revealed an unexpected detail about Artisan Mage Hwei.

Specifically, Big Bad Bear pointed out that Hwei could be someone who controls one of the ancient demons like Nilah. S-Games also finds this quite plausible because to bring artwork to life, Hwei needs a great source of power to break the barrier between the painting and reality, and that power must belong to the ancient demons. Some other players simply believe that Hwei's power comes from artistic gods and the pen in his hand is the evidence. This 166th champion has strong typical Asian characteristics often seen in classic martial arts period films. According to Riot's champion development roadmap, Hwei may be unveiled on the PBE server as early as in patch 13.24. Hopefully, Hwei will possess truly interesting skills to bring a 'fresh breeze' to Mage gameplay.
