It's known that Gryffinn was mentored by LS - a veteran figure in the North American LoL scene - during the trial period at T1. LS himself revealed that Gryffinn successfully overcame difficulties and was officially selected by T1 to join the Academy lineup. The selection process is said to have lasted throughout the summer and only concluded in October.
