Lô Lô Chải is the home to 114 households of Lô Lô and Mông ethnic groups, with the majority being Lô Lô people. They successfully preserve both material and spiritual cultural values, expressed through traditional architectural styles and crafts like embroidery, weaving, and woodworking.


Traditional folk dances and unique cultural festivals are also preserved and celebrated, notably the 26 traditional dances performed with bronze drums in various occasions such as lullabies, weddings, funerals, and courtship songs. These rich folk cultural expressions contribute to the uniqueness of Lô Lô Chải as a distinctive tourism product.



Upon arriving in Lô Lô Chải, visitors are immediately captivated by the charm of the traditional stilt houses. Women of the Lô Lô tribe skillfully embroider and weave vibrant terracotta fabrics by the window frames. In 2022, the traditional handicraft of “Decorative Arts on the Costume of Lô Lô People” was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. Additionally, Lô Lô Chải village was acknowledged as an exemplary cultural tourism village in Hà Giang province.

Indulge in local dishes such as fermented soybeans, bamboo-tube cooked meat, dried pork, fermented glutinous rice beer, and more. Currently, the village has around 37 traditional stilt houses, most of which have been renovated into homestays for overnight stays and to provide a traditional living experience.

Ancient Lô Lô artifacts are displayed in the rooms, creating a cozy and friendly atmosphere for visitors.
