In the upcoming League of Legends 10.5 patch, sources reveal that developers will focus on tweaking Bard. This marks Bard's first acceptance of such changes since his 2015 debut. However, there's more to it. Discover further with Mytour!
LOL 10.5 - Bard's strength diminished, with Sona and Soraka falling out of favor in the Top lane.
Previously, according to Leagueofgraphs.com, Bard wasn't a standout champion and only excelled as a support in the bot lane with an impressive win rate of 54.6%. However, in patch 10.5, Riot developers announced significant changes for Bard. Specifically, his passive damage per chime is reduced from 15 to 12. While this may not seem like a major nerf, especially early in the game, these changes will increasingly impact Bard and significantly reduce his influence as the game progresses.
Additionally, two crucial items for Bard, Mobility Boots and Spellthief's Edge, have also been nerfed. The cost to purchase Mobility Boots has increased from 900 to 1000 gold, while Spellthief's Edge will now only grant bonus gold to the champion when allies are nearby. Due to these changes, champions like Sona and Soraka who benefited the most are at risk of becoming 'obsolete in the top lane' since in patch 10.4, these two champions were slightly nerfed to facilitate their top lane play.
