Snack Recipe 1: Crispy Rice with Pork Floss
Ingredients needed for snack recipe 1:
- Rice: ½ cup;
- Sticky rice: ½ cup;
- Salt: ½ teaspoon;
- Sugar: ½ tablespoon;
- Pork floss: 1 cup;
- Mayonnaise (refer to the mayonnaise recipe) + 1 tablespoon chopped green onions + 1 tablespoon chili sauce.
Steps to make snack recipe 1
Step 1: Step 1: Rinse rice and glutinous rice thoroughly, then cook in a pot with a fixed amount of water (similar to cooking rice). Add salt and sugar, then cook until done
Step 2: Once the rice is cooked, let it cool slightly, then spread it thinly on a food-grade film, and cut into circles (you can use a mold or the mouth of a water glass to cut). Arrange the rice circles on a tray to dry in the sun or dry in an oven at 100°C

Snack Recipe 2: Fried Bao Buns
Ingredients needed for snack recipe 2:
- All-purpose flour: 300g;
- Yeast: 10g;
- Sugar: 30g;
- Salt;
- Water: 150ml;
Filling ingredients for snack recipe 2
- Pork loin: 25g;
- Quail eggs (or you can use chopped chicken eggs);
- Mushrooms, carrots, green onions, sliced.
Steps to make snack recipe 2
Step 1: Dissolve yeast with sugar in 100ml warm water. Put flour into a large bowl, mix well with sugar and salt.
Step 2: Slowly pour the yeast mixture into the flour, add a little water, and knead thoroughly until the dough is smooth. If the dough is sticky, you can add more flour, but avoid adding too much to prevent it from becoming dry.
Step 3: Cover the dough bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 1 hour until the dough rises. Finely chop pork, carrots, mushrooms, green onions, and softened vermicelli, then add seasoning for flavor.
Step 4: Use the filling mixture to wrap the quail eggs and shape them into round balls.

Step 5: Take out the rested dough, knead it again to make it more elastic, then divide it into small portions. Typically, fried bao buns are only half the size of steamed ones. Making them too big might lead to quick satiety.
Step 6: Roll out the dough thinly, place the filling in the middle, and fold the edges of the dough together.
Step 7: Heat enough oil in a pan to submerge the buns, wait until the oil is hot, then slowly add the buns and fry until golden brown. Remove the buns and drain them on paper towels. Let them cool before enjoying.
