Serenely beautiful and offering a breath of fresh air – these new homestays in Hanoi are a delightful option for your Tet retreat!
Stuck for Tet holiday plans? Why not escape to one of these newly opened homestays in Hanoi for a change of pace?
Got Tet plans? Besides family gatherings and hanging out with friends, many folks want a short getaway to unwind. But with limited time and busy schedules, it's hard to plan. And the usual spots are probably fully booked by now. It's been like a month.
If you can't travel far, Hanoi has plenty of charming spots for a Tet staycation. These new homestays offer a cozy and refreshing start to the year.
Satori Homestay
Satori is a charming homestay located on Quang Trung Street. If you're looking for a cozy room (around 16m²) with all the amenities, Satori is the place to be.

The minimalist decor at Satori is impressive with carefully chosen color schemes, decorations, and furnishings. With 6 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and rooftop space, Satori offers a delightful stay. Two bedrooms share a bathroom, and one room can accommodate up to 2 guests. Prices start at around 500,000 VND per night (including service fees), or you can rent the entire place for $140 (~2.8 million VND) per night. It's a reasonable price for a centrally located homestay that's small, cozy, and comfortable.

Mei Hideaway
For a touch of sweetness and romance, Mei Hideaway on Truc Bach Street is the perfect choice. With its minimalist decor and pastel color palette, Mei Hideaway offers a gentle and poetic atmosphere.

Mei features 2 bedrooms, a combined living and dining area, a small but lovely kitchen flooded with sunlight, and a balcony. It can accommodate up to 4 people, with prices starting at over 1 million VND per person per night (additional cleaning fees apply). If you exceed the maximum occupancy, Mei will charge extra based on the number of guests.

At Mei, you'll feel right at home – a homestay bathed in sunlight and filled with charming details!

Au Frais
Au Frais is a homestay located in the heart of Tay Ho district, on the 9th floor of a serviced apartment building. Unlike Satori or Mei, which offer cozy spaces, Au Frais is spacious, airy, and has a more modern feel, just like its name suggests. (Au Frais means 'cool, refreshing' in French).

The apartment covers an area of 200m², with 150m² dedicated to 2 luxurious bedrooms and a balcony overlooking West Lake. The decor at Au Frais highlights simplicity and elegance with refined wooden designs. Its most distinctive feature is perhaps the lush green balcony with cool, refreshing air and charming arrangements.

The price for a night at Au Frais is 2 million VND for 4 people (Monday to Thursday) and 2.5 million VND for 4 people (Friday to Sunday). Additional fees apply for cooking, decoration, or event organization.
Tree House
In stark contrast to the homestays above, Tree House – these treehouses will undoubtedly give you a completely new experience. This is the homestay area of artist Dao Anh Khanh, located in the Long Bien area. It took quite a bit of time to build and complete, and to this day, Tree House is a place for tourists to rent as a homestay.

Visiting Tree House feels like stepping into a real forest with numerous small treehouses scattered around – true treehouse living. Each house has its own name and design, but they all share a unique and close connection with nature. Tree House is truly amazing for those who want to 'escape' from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to relax.

This is the first 'treehouse' model to appear in Hanoi. The owner is an artist, so rest assured, besides being close to nature, each house is meticulously decorated and cared for. Depending on the house, you can accommodate from 2 to 4 people with prices ranging from $45 to $100 per night (over 900,000 VND to 2.2 million VND).
