1. Looking for the perfect 4K TV to enjoy the Táo Quân 2019?
1. Looking for the perfect 4K TV to enjoy the Táo Quân 2019?

1. Sony Bravia X9000F.
1. Sony Bravia X9000F.
Introducing Sony's latest LCD TV model for 2018, available in sizes ranging from 49 to 85 inches, with a price starting at 28 million VND for the 49-inch version.
- Advantages: Among the models listed, this is the most comprehensive product across various evaluation factors by 4K.com. This year, Sony has only released the high-end MASTER Z9F (LCD) and A9F (OLED) series, with the premium LCD TV X90F and OLED TV A8F. Due to the streamlined product lineup in the high-end segment, the X90F stands as the second outstanding LCD TV from the brand that you can purchase, featuring top-market features at the most accessible price.

The X90F's strengths lie in its full-array LED backlighting system, impressive peak brightness, rich color gamut, and excellent motion handling. Additionally, its two strongest assets at this price range are the 4K HDR X1 Extreme signal processing chip and local dimming capability, making its price tag a bargain for those seeking image quality.
- Disadvantages: The slightly high price for the 49-inch size is the trade-off for excellent image quality, as for the same amount, you could buy a 55-inch TV from other competitors. Furthermore, the X90F uses a VA panel, so the viewing angles are not particularly wide.
2. Samsung QLED Q6F.
This is the entry-level model in Samsung's premium QLED lineup this year. If you can't afford the higher-end Q7 or Q8, this is a reasonable choice for you. In Vietnam, the Q6F is available in sizes ranging from 49 to 65 inches, with a reference price of 26 million VND for the 49-inch version.
- Advantages: The QLED series are Samsung's premium LCD TVs enhanced with Quantum Dot Enhancement Film (QDEF) technology. What does this mean? The Q6F and 2018 QLED lineup offer the most eye-catching colors and very high contrast, rivaling LG or Sony OLED models.

The advantage of the Q6F is that despite being reasonably priced for many middle-class families, the image quality is still excellent and easily attracts attention with both SDR and HDR content. The screen has excellent brightness and outstanding gaming support.
- Disadvantages: The Q6F does not support Dolby Vision HDR format, which may be a drawback for videophiles because the alternative HDR10+ format from Samsung still lacks content variety.
3. Samsung NU8000.
If you can't bear the high price of the QLED series, and the 49-inch Q6F is too small, this will be the most reasonable non-QLED 4K HDR TV to choose from. In Vietnam, the NU8000 model comes in four sizes from 55 to 82 inches, with a reference price of 25 million VND for the smallest size of 55 inches.
- Advantages: Although NU8000 lacks Quantum Dot technology, the hardware configuration is still very good, comparable to 2017 QLED models. The TV has high brightness, good motion processing, vibrant colors, and good black levels as well as contrast.

NU8000's biggest advantage is its extremely low input lag, ideal if you have a PS4 or Xbox. Additionally, it boasts a sturdy and stylish design. After the QLED Q6F, this is Samsung's best performance-to-price ratio TV this year.
- Disadvantages: However, NU8000 still has drawbacks. It doesn't support the Dolby Vision HDR format, which many enthusiasts prefer. Secondly, its full-array LED backlight system with effective local dimming feature is not truly efficient.
4. LG SuperUHD SK8000.
Next up is a product from LG. Among many LCD TV models this year, the SK8000 stands out with its impressive performance-to-price ratio, offering much better image quality than its predecessors. The SK8000 comes in sizes ranging from 49 to 75 inches, with a starting price of 23 million VND for the 49-inch version.
- Advantages: One of the significant issues that often caused LG's LCD TVs to lag behind Sony and Samsung LCDs is the IPS panel, notorious for its inferior black levels and contrast compared to VA panels. However, the SK8000 breaks that stereotype with excellent black levels and contrast, especially with the help of effective local dimming. Moreover, while some of LG's budget models often use cheaper RGBW LCD screens to cut costs (sacrificing image quality), the SK8000 uses RGB LCD, delivering significantly better image quality.

SK8000's most valuable advantage is its wide viewing angles thanks to the IPS panel, which, although not as high quality as the above models, is certainly suitable for larger living rooms.
- Disadvantages: Black levels and contrast are not as high as Sony and Samsung TVs.
