Rú Chá stands as a precious pristine mangrove forest within the Tam Giang lagoon system, nestled in Thuận Hòa village (Hương Phong commune, Hương Trà district, Thừa Thiên Huế province). About 4 - 5 years ago, accessing Rú Chá required parking outside, then walking, sometimes wading through water, taking a boat, or navigating muddy dirt roads, often leaving one's feet and hands caked in mud like working in a rice field. However, in recent years, the road to Rú Chá has been paved with concrete, greatly improving accessibility.

What to eat at Rú Chá?
When visiting Rú Chá, it's best not to bring any food with you. There's a couple, Mr. Đáp and Mrs. Hồng (locally known as ôn Đáp - mệ Hồng), who left the city to live in the forest voluntarily, dedicating over thirty years to forest conservation. Some regular guests have their contact number and pre-order meals before arriving. However, for passing travelers who wish to dine with the couple, simply approach and request a meal; they offer what they have, and guests leave a small token of appreciation, which the couple readily accepts.Mrs. Hồng sits enjoying the cool breeze in front of the house.
