Developer Big Way Games says they drew inspiration from one of the science fiction stories called The Ultimate Weapon to create Lou's Revenge. In one of the stories, a US SWAT team led by an archaeologist went deep into the jungle to some native American temples while fighting against local tribes and guerrillas. According to a prophecy, there is some kind of advanced weapon from the Mayan civilization, some kind of nuclear bomb lying somewhere deep in the jungle. If the weapon is found, it means the beginning of Armageddon - the final battle between good and evil on doomsday.

Finally, the US army opened a gateway to Hell. Of course, the demons, led by Satan himself, poured out of the gate. It turns out demons can be easily killed with bullet guns, and to eliminate the leader, you just need to shoot with armor-piercing bullets. For a native American equipped with a stone axe from thousands of years ago, that's an impossible challenge, and the final boss is the ultimate weapon.
What if the main character in Diablo had a machine gun? Hell would be conquered more easily and quickly. Then, the developers came up with the idea of using demons as the main characters, and in the RPG game Lou's Revenge, Hell has been taken over by some despicable villains - humans and here, you play as Lou - the son of Satan to fight against them.
Lou's Revenge is a game where you fight for the 'evil' side, the 'bad' side. As the game progresses, you have to liberate Hell from human invasion. So, essentially, Lou's Revenge is in contrast to Diablo, only similar in the use of large guns.
The development process began in early 2017. Now, after more than two years of relentless work, Lou's Revenge has finally arrived on Xbox One.
