The physical activities organized by LPL officials are sparking controversy within the League of Legends community in this country.
On December 28th (Vietnam time), LPL hosted a ceremony to award professional certificates to League of Legends players. Alongside, players engaged in physical activities aimed at improving fitness and fostering team unity. Notably, some players like TheShy, Rookie... were absent due to quarantine regulations in China.
The games, though seemingly enjoyable and familiar to many in Vietnam, have recently taken a grim turn. Ahead of LPL Spring 2022, ZWuJi from Anyone's Legend bid farewell due to injuries sustained during these activities. Diagnosed with a right elbow joint injury, ZWuJi underwent surgery and faces a 3-month hiatus.

This incident has sparked outrage within the LPL community. Concerns extend beyond ZWuJi's injury, with many questioning the overall health of LPL players and the tournament organizers' care for their well-being. Uncontrolled physical activities, some argue, heighten the risk of injuries. Additionally, there's a call for reasonable measures to be implemented by LPL authorities. Some voices raise genuine concerns about the players' health.

In its history, LPL has witnessed numerous instances where players' careers were prematurely halted or their performances suffered due to injuries. Notably, two of the 'Five Gods' of the LPL community - TheShy and Uzi - both endured such afflictions. The common thread between these two players is the loss of form due to injuries. While TheShy displayed lackluster performances, Uzi was forced to retire for a period and has recently made his return wearing the colors of Bilibili Gaming.

Furthermore, LPL is known as one of the most unforgiving LoL tournaments, with a remarkably high turnover rate. Even legends like Uzi, TheShy, Rookie, and Doinb, Tian... face criticism if they fail to perform or secure titles. For players of moderate skill like ZWuJi, the challenges are even greater, with the risk of being benched multiple times.

Following this incident, it's perhaps imperative for LPL organizers to thoroughly reconsider their approach to organizing physical activities for players. While promoting physical fitness and sports to enhance health is commendable, utmost safety must be ensured. Just one minor mistake could potentially derail the careers of these players at any given moment.
