(Homeland) - Allegations of a significant error have arisen in GAM's Worlds 2022 match, capturing the community's attention.
In recent days, the League of Legends (LOL) community in Vietnam is still euphoric over GAM Esports' triumph at the 2022 World Championship. Despite being VCS representatives' first and final victory in this tournament, it undoubtedly signifies a historic triumph. This victory is not only because GAM faced TOP Esports (TES) - the 2022 LPL Summer Runner-Up but also because, in this match, the Vietnamese players secured a win against all odds.

However, on the evening of October 16th (Vietnamese time), Vandiril - a renowned figure in the global LOL community - posted content related to an error in the GAM vs. TES match. According to Vandiril, when Levi's Karthus used the R ability, JackeyLove's Lucian equipped with Malmortius seemed not to activate. This resulted in Lucian taking more damage, and when Kati's Sett appeared with a skill combo, Lucian was taken down. Vandiril believes that this factor led to TES's defeat against GAM.

Vandiril's discovery has attracted significant attention from the global LOL community, especially from the VCS and LPL regions. According to some opinions, this error significantly impacted the match result. At that moment, GAM's main building had only low health. If Lucian could have landed shots, GAM might have lost to TES.

Nevertheless, some opinions argue that Vandiril examined this error but did not account for certain cases, such as the intrinsic effects of items like the Black Cleaver or upgrades from Ornn (in this case, Sett's Infinity Edge and Karthus's Liandry's Anguish). Moreover, even if Lucian was not immediately defeated, losing both Flash and the E ability would make it challenging for Lucian to activate the intrinsic effect or move forward to shoot at GAM's main building. Especially in this case, some GAM players were resurrected.

In a recent development, after news of the error spread within the LMHT community, a section of fans in the LPL has demanded Riot to speak up on the matter. These viewers have even declared that LPL won't participate in any future Worlds if Riot doesn't resolve the issue.

However, at the current moment, both Riot and TES remain silent on the matter. In another development, teams like GAM, TES... are preparing to head back home, and the Quarterfinals brackets have been drawn. Therefore, it's almost certain that there won't be a scenario where Riot allows a rematch, even if confirmation is obtained that there was an error.
