Even securing a ticket to attend Worlds 2023 proves to be a challenging task for Uzi and his teammates.
Prior to facing Top Esports (TES) in the LPL Summer 2023 qualifiers, EDward Gaming (EDG) had clinched two crucial victories, instilling great confidence in defeating TES. This even led some EDG fans to contemplate their qualification for Worlds 2023, given their performance in the regional qualifiers.

However, reality showed that TES was the stronger team as they secured a 3-2 victory over EDG. Some neutral LPL fans even bluntly expressed doubts about Uzi's participation in Worlds 2023, let alone winning the championship. This skepticism stemmed from EDG's dismal performance in game 5.
Specifically, in an early-game turret dive scenario, EDG members successfully eliminated JackeyLove. However, their excessive greed led them to attempt to also take down both Mark and Rookie. Coupled with poor coordination in distributing damage mitigation, several EDG members fell, granting TES a significant advantage.

“Watching EDG's turret dive just fills me with sadness. They were too greedy after killing JackeyLove, leaving 4 kills for the opponent. Moreover, those kills fell into the hands of Rookie playing Jayce. Truly, EDG needs to reassess their coordination after this match. Otherwise, there won't be any “final dance” for Uzi.” - An LPL fan shared.

As mentioned earlier, EDG and Uzi are qualified to participate in the regional qualifiers, so their opportunity to earn a spot at Worlds 2023 still exists. However, they must take serious lessons from their recent loss against TES, especially in terms of coordination. Otherwise, the grim prospect of Uzi missing out on Worlds due to EDG's absence could very well materialize.
