(Thethaovanhoa.vn) - After receiving numerous reminders from the community about the mouth-slap incident at the APL 2022 Finals, Lyly Sury has recently officially opened up about this memorable profession.
Gorgeous, witty, and fluent in on-air communication... are the impressions that Lyly Sury's fans had about her when she was a rising female streamer. However, since exploring a new role - as an MC for Liên Quân Mobile, Lyly seems to have lost her confidence.
Stringent criteria, harsh criticisms from the audience... are the pressures that she has to bear every time she goes live. Despite constantly improving her professional skills, the female MC still cannot satisfy the audience and herself after a year of honing her craft. Especially the slip of the tongue, saying forbidden words during the live broadcast of the APL 2022 Finals match has made Lyly Sury question herself. After more than a week of the incident, she had a sharing session with the Liên Quân community. The female MC expressed:
'APL 2022 was my first big stage in life, the first time I hosted a big show, yet I made such a basic mistake there. My colleagues have also been mouth-slapped before, but my case happened at an important event, right at the Finals of the tournament' - Lyly Sury began the conversation.
She revealed that although the incident did not cause much trouble in her job, she still felt guilty and always wondered why she let it happen: 'At that time, at the venue, 70% of the audience didn't care much because they were focused on watching the match, but those who watched the live stream spammed a lot. Despite being sympathized by many people, I have to admit that I was not professional at that moment' - the female MC regretted.
Reflecting on my learning journey and testing myself in the field of MC, Lyly Sury affirms that she has undergone significant changes, becoming a better version of herself. However, she feels that it's not enough, leading her to ponder multiple times whether she truly fits in the MC profession.
'Right from the APL group stage, I wasn't satisfied. Only scoring around 6 - 7 points regarding timeline standards, the content was safe, but the program wasn't yet deemed interesting or captivating. I've been questioning if I encountered any issues over the past year, still uncertain about whether I should continue pursuing this career or halt.'
I've been contemplating this for a while, not just after the incident of verbal abuse. In the past, excuses were made as it was my first time, in season 1, season 2, I was still inexperienced. However, having gone through 3 seasons, I should have become tougher and more mature, but I always worry about my future every time I go live. It could be due to a lack of knowledge, lack of confidence in my abilities' - Lyly Sury doesn't hide her sense of disorientation within the group. And the fact that her unprofessionalism affects her colleagues is what troubles her the most.
In the same heartfelt conversation, the female MC of Liên Quân revealed that she might be absent from the Arena of Fame Spring 2023 to take time to pause, learn, and explore other stages. Starting off as a female streamer, the memories that Liên Quân Mobile has brought to Lyly up to this point are memorable milestones in her life. As for whether she'll continue to be attached to the MC role, she's still undecided.
