The 13 hotel in Macau is preparing to open this summer with a construction investment of up to 1.4 billion USD.
Macau reveals images of the world's most expensive hotel
Last week, Macau revealed the secret behind The 13, an opulent palace inspired by Baroque aesthetics set to become the world's most luxurious and expensive hotel. Expected to debut this summer, the completed hotel will feature 200 luxurious rooms ranging from 190 m² to over 2,700 m². Each room will have a Roman-style marble bathtub.

The hotel is part of the latest project by Chinese billionaire Stephen Hung, who has no qualms about the supposedly unlucky number 13 in the gambling haven of Macau and has chosen it as the name for his project.
According to Bazaar, all guests staying can request 24-hour butler service. A fleet of luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantoms is always available to transport guests to casinos, restaurants, airports, and more.

The 13 is plated with gold and features columns in neoclassical architecture, along with many other Baroque-inspired details. 'This is a result of love. We have poured creativity and passion into every detail to ensure everything is perfect. I believe that our customers will truly be impressed, surpassing what they have experienced before,' said billionaire Hung.
The 13 hotel is preparing to open amidst the economic downturn in Macau following Chinese President Xi Jinping's vigorous anti-corruption campaign, leading to a sharp decline in casino revenue since the peak in 2013.
