In a recent tweet, Young shared a new report from Reuters revealing details of a $3.1 billion investment by Display in OLED panel production in Asan, South Korea. This analyst mentioned that these factories will be utilized to produce OLED displays for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models starting from 2026.

Last month, Young stated that the MacBook lineup may struggle to adopt OLED displays until 2026, as Apple's supply chain currently lacks the capacity to produce OLED displays optimized for laptops. According to this analyst, Apple's suppliers are now focusing on OLED displays for other products, such as smartphones.
In the same report, Young explained that the first OLED Macs are expected to be the MacBook models with slightly smaller 13.4-inch displays. Additionally, there is information indicating that Samsung Display has begun developing OLED displays for future MacBook Air models.
Additionally, there is information suggesting that Apple is also planning to transition to microLED displays developed in-house for their MacBook lineup. Let's stay tuned for further updates!
