According to 9to5Mac, developer Steve Troughton Smith discovered and posted screenshots of macOS 10.14 on his Twitter account, describing Xcode 10 and new features such as dark theme, Mac News app, and support for video previews on the Mac App Store that Apple is preparing to introduce in macOS 10.14.
macOS 10.14 will support Dark Mode and video previews on the App Store
A nearly 30-second video clip found on the App Store describes Xcode on macOS 10.14, so the features discovered here are assumed features that Apple may add in the next-generation operating system.
Smith also notes that the video is hidden within the App Store's API. The video content integrated into the Mac App Store API indicates that macOS 10.14 will support the ability to preview videos on the App Store app.
Additionally, screenshots also indicate that the upcoming operating system will feature a system-wide Dark theme. The dark theme mode on the current operating system only applies to the menu and dock bar.
Similar to the dark theme interface for the menu and dock bar, the system-wide dark theme interface will also be options. The Xcode storyboard window also has an interface allowing developers to switch between dark and light interfaces. However, it is unlikely that the dark theme interface will be added to iOS.
Detailed information about the next version of macOS will be introduced by Apple at the WWDC conference, held in San Jose, California.
