Man wears fake arms to vaccination appointment to obtain 'green pass' without getting vaccinated

In an elaborate scheme to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination certificate without actually receiving the vaccine, a man in Biella, Italy, devised a plan to attend the vaccination appointment with... two rubber arms to deceive healthcare workers... but of course, the plan was unsuccessful.

Filippa Bua, the nurse in charge of administering the vaccine to this individual, recounted that after completing all pre-vaccination screening procedures, the man arrived for the injection, but when he rolled up his sleeve, Bua noticed something suspicious and requested he remove his shirt for further inspection. Immediately, she noticed discrepancies in his skin tone and texture, despite the fake arms being remarkably realistic.

To ensure safety, Bua thoroughly checked the man's arm before administering the vaccine and halted the procedure upon discovering it was a rubber prosthetic. She promptly alerted the authorities, leading to the man's arrest and investigation for fraud. Bua expressed dismay that someone would doubt a nurse's ability to distinguish between a real and fake arm.
