Specifically, the Gothic architecture is evident in the presence of two bell towers on either side of the church and a crucifix located in the center. The overall color scheme of the church is grayish-green, which whether coincidental or intentional, blends harmoniously with the surrounding fields and gardens. Additionally, in front of this church, there is a small underground chamber that is quite meticulously constructed. Inside the chamber, there are numerous intricately carved sculptures depicting the story of Saint Andrew of Phú Yên.

Uncovering the Origin of the Name Mằng Lăng
Upon exploring the church, many tourists, intrigued by the classical Gothic architecture, become curious about the church's name. The name Mằng Lăng may sound unfamiliar, but it actually has a very simple and humble origin. According to elders living near the church, over 100 years ago, this area had very few inhabitants, mainly consisting of trees. Among them was a beautiful purple flower, belonging to the same family as the bằng lăng, so the locals named that flower mằng lăng. Therefore, after building the church in this An Thạch area, the people immediately named the church Mằng Lăng Church. To this day, the mằng lăng trees have disappeared, but their traces still remain on a round wooden table with a diameter of 1.7m inside the church. This wooden table is made from mằng lăng wood from the early days of church construction.
