Some users of new iPhone models in Vietnam have just noticed screen issues after completing the update to iOS 15.6.
According to observations, although the issue isn't widespread, it's not uncommon. Not only are regular stores affected, but even Apple's authorized service centers in Vietnam are noting cases of consumers bringing in iPhone 12 or 13 series devices with screen issues for repairs.

Restoring to factory settings doesn't solve the problem. Since the exact cause isn't clear, for cases still under official warranty, users can bring their purchase invoices to Apple's authorized service centers to have the screen replaced free of charge. For devices bought overseas, users can use mail-in repair services, where they'll incur fees to send the device to Apple stores abroad for repairs.
According to research by VOV.VN, warranty services at Apple stores abroad will also only involve screen replacements. For cases out of warranty, users can get screen replacement services from repair shops. Surveys at some repair systems show that the cost to replace the screen for iPhone 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max is around 8-9 million VND, equivalent to 1/3 of the device's value.
As mentioned, it's still unclear whether the issue originates from iOS 15.6 or the hardware. However, since the release of iOS 15.6.1 by Apple on August 17, it seems that this issue is no longer being reported. Notably, Apple only notes in this update that it fixes software bugs without specifying which ones.
