To materialize his passion for yachting while still in the US, Mr. Cao Van Nam returned to his hometown in Vinh Long to breed eels and invested 5 billion VND to build a unique yacht house.
Marvel at the one-of-a-kind million-dollar yacht house in the Mekong Delta.
The 3-story yacht house, a rarity in the Mekong Delta, belongs to Mr. Cao Van Nam, a 71-year-old resident of Binh Tinh hamlet, Hoa Tinh commune, Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province. With this unique concept, his house has attracted a large number of visitors from other provinces and cities who come to admire and take photos.

The idea for designing a yacht-shaped house is said to stem from Mr. Nam's years of living and working on ships in the US. The time spent at sea has left him with many memories, so upon returning to Vietnam, he harbored the dream of building this house. And when the house was completed, it was the realization of Mr. Nam's dream at the age of 71.

After nearly 2 years of construction, this one-of-a-kind house in the Mekong Delta was completed amidst awe and admiration from local residents and tourists. Situated on a spacious 400m² lake with 51 concrete pillars supporting it, the yacht house appears to float on the water's surface like a ship at sea. The total investment and construction cost for the yacht house amounted to 5 billion VND and required a great deal of dedication and effort from Mr. Nam.

This house is made of reinforced concrete. According to Mr. Nam, the railing, door frames, and observation deck are made of stainless steel. The staircase leading into the house is designed to be at the rear. The owner of the house stated that it has 7 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen and library, and on top of the house, there is an observation deck to admire the entire area, 2 floors high about 3m, which Mr. Nam plans to install telescopes to stargaze at night. The staircase floor is paved with granite, looking extremely clean and beautiful.

Underneath the water, Mr. Nam released 3,000 koi fish, carp, koi carp, seven-color fish, and planted water lilies to create a cooler space and enhance the beauty of this special house.
