To fulfill his dream of cruising on a houseboat from his time in the U.S., Mr. Cao Van Nam returned to his hometown in Vinh Long, delving into eel farming and investing 5 billion VND to construct a distinctive houseboat.
Marvel at the Unique Million-Dollar Houseboat in the Western Region
The three-story houseboat, unparalleled in the Western Region, belongs to 71-year-old Mr. Cao Van Nam, residing in Binh Tinh hamlet, Hoa Tinh commune, Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province. With this distinctive concept, his house has drawn a significant number of visitors from other provinces who come to explore and capture photos.

Regarding the idea of designing a boat-shaped house, it is known that this desire dates back many years when Mr. Nam lived and worked on a ship in the U.S. The swaying time on the sea left him with numerous memories, so when he returned to Vietnam, he aspired to construct this house. The completion of this house at the age of 71 is the realization of Mr. Nam's dream.

After nearly 2 years of construction, this unparalleled houseboat in the Western Region has been completed, evoking awe and admiration from the local residents and tourists. The house is situated on a spacious water surface of nearly 400 m² with 51 concrete pillars supporting it, creating the illusion that the houseboat is floating on the water like a ship on the open sea. The total investment and construction cost for the houseboat is 5 billion VND, representing a significant amount of Mr. Nam's dedication and effort.

Constructed with reinforced concrete, this house features stainless steel railings, door frames, and an observation deck, as shared by Mr. Nam. The staircase entrance is positioned at the rear of the house. The owner reveals that the house comprises 7 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, and a library. At the top, there is an observation deck for panoramic views of the entire two-story area, approximately 3 meters high. Mr. Nam plans to install a telescope for stargazing at night. The staircase floor is paved with granite, presenting a clean and beautiful appearance.

Beneath the water, Mr. Nam has released 3,000 ornamental fish, including goldfish, carp, koi fish, and rainbow fish, along with planting water lilies to create a refreshing atmosphere and enhance the beauty of this unique house.
