Zoë Saldaña believes that receiving the script just a few hours before filming makes the process of getting into character more challenging.
Actress Zoë Saldaña recently shared her Marvel star experiences in an interview with In Style magazine. She finds Marvel's stringent confidentiality terms too restrictive and unsettling.
Marvel is renowned for its strict confidentiality terms to safeguard the film from external leaks. This sometimes results in actors receiving the script only a few hours before filming.
'This can be uncomfortable sometimes,' shares the Guardians of the Galaxy star. 'Because I have to memorize the script, prepare for the role, and use research materials before stepping into character. I'm quite strict with myself regarding this issue.'
'I really enjoy collaborating with filmmakers who don't underestimate my intelligence. They need to know that I'm a grown-up. I can keep the script secret. This is as important to me as it is to the director. I will never leak the script like that,' Zoë continues.
Despite feeling uneasy about Marvel's peculiar security measures, the actress openly admits to loving her job. One of the main reasons is that her three children take immense pride in their mother being a Marvel actress.
Previously, Zoë Saldaña faced complications when she posted a video in character as Gamora, reading the Marvel film script in the makeup room. The video was taken down after Marvel expressed concerns.
