Step 1: Peel and clean the garlic and ginger, then rinse thoroughly, lightly pound, and slice.
Step 2: Marinate the deboned pork shank with the following spices: 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, and 1 teaspoon MSG. Marinate the meat for 15 - 20 minutes for the flavors to infuse.
Step 3: Roll the pork shank meat carefully so that the pork skin wraps around the outside and ensure the meat stays intact. Use food string or food tie to wrap multiple loops tightly to prevent bursting during boiling.

How to Make Crispy Grilled Deboned Pork Shank
Step 1: Mix all spices: Purple onion, finely chopped garlic, soup powder, seasoning powder, seasoning cubes, Sichuan pepper (peppercorns), vegetable oil, Five Spice Powder, and homemade chili sauce in a small bowl.
Step 2: Clean the deboned pork shank and parboil it with ginger and purple onion, then drain.
