Expanding Image Frame in Photoshop
Step 1: To begin the editing process, open the image you want to edit in Photoshop on your computer. Then, to convert the image from Background to an editable layer, you can select the option 'Layer from Background' from the menu.
Step 2: Please proceed by pressing the Ctrl + J key combination, this will create a copy of the layer and you will notice this copy appear on the right side of the Photoshop workspace interface.
Step 3: Next, you can continue by selecting the Crop tool in Photoshop. This allows you to create a frame and edit the aspect ratio of the image according to your preferences.
Step 4: Choose the Lasso Tool > draw a fixed pattern frame, in the image the fixed pattern frame is a human > select Select > select Save Selection.
Step 5: To save the selection area you've created, enter a name you desire in the dialog box and select OK. In the image, this selection area will be saved under the name 'Original Template', making it easy for you to manage and reuse it in the future for edits and upcoming projects.
Step 6: Press the key combination Ctrl + D to deselect > select Edit > select Content-Aware-Scale.
Step 7: Move to the 'Protect' section and choose the option 'Original Template' to apply the selection area you saved earlier.
Step 8: You drag the image out to cover the entire frame needed to expand and end the command with Enter. So you have successfully expanded the frame.
