Step-by-Step Guide to Hard Drive Partitioning with Wondershare Free Disk Manager
Step 1: Download and Install Wondershare Free Disk Manager on your computer. You can get the latest version of Wondershare Free Disk Manager from this link.
Step 2: Install Wondershare Free Disk Manager. The installation steps are straightforward, simply follow the provided instructions.
Step 3: Access the program interface as shown in the image below:
Step 4: First, select the drive you want to partition under the Partition section, then, Look at the left side under Assignment
- Resize Partition: Adjust partition size
- Delete Partition: Delete partition

- Change Label: Rename partition
- Change Driver Letter: Change the drive letter of the partition.

- Hide allows you to hide the current partition.

When you select Resize Partition, the Resize Partition window appears, allowing you to resize the hard drive partition by dragging the left mouse button to the left to create additional partitions from drive D as shown in the figure, and the Partition Size After and Unallocated Space After items also change accordingly. Finally, click Resize.
Step 5: Additionally, you can perform other operations on the hard drive

- The Format Partition, Delete Partition options require attention as data on the selected partition will be lost. Partitions with operating systems installed should not be renamed.
- The Delete Partition option allows you to remove the selected partition. After selecting to delete the partition, press Delete to confirm.
- Use the Format Partition option to reformat the partition. Press Format to confirm the formatting.
Step 6: After configuring the options, proceed to select Apply on the toolbar to confirm, Undo to revert to the previous action, or press Discard to cancel all actions and revert to the previous state.
