Method 1: Direct Corner Rounding with the Rectangle Tool (Rounding All Corners)
Step 1: Open Illustrator and select the Rectangle Tool to draw a square/rectangle shape.
Step 1: Begin by drawing a square/rectangle and click to select. Next, choose Effect -> Stylize -> Round Corners…
Step 2: The first thing to do when the Round Corners window appears is to enable the Preview feature.
Step 3: Then, input the desired corner radius in the Radius field and observe the changes.
Method 3: Round Corners Using Direct Selection Tool (Round each corner individually)
For this method, you can round off the corners in a shape with various degrees. However, it will take more time because you have to adjust each corner individually.
Step 1: Begin by drawing a square/rectangle and then select the Direct Selection Tool from the toolbar.
Step 2: Next, Click on a corner that you want to round.
Step 3: After clicking on the corner, you will see a circle appear. Click and hold on the circle and drag it towards the center to adjust the corner's curvature.
Step 4: Repeat the same process for the remaining corners in the shape. We'll end up with asymmetrically rounded corners.
