1. Introducing New Cloud Services
The Files app now automatically stores files downloaded on your device and syncs them with iCloud Drive. This app advantageously allows access to various cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and more.
By holding down on a file, you can perform various actions. You can copy, duplicate, move, delete, share, tag, and rename.
If you select Tags, you can label the file.
Then, each time you return to the Browse tab, you can select tags to quickly locate files tagged with them.
Similar to files, you can also copy, cut, move, and delete folders.
Locating a specific file/folder effortlessly
At any given moment, effortlessly search for a file or folder. Simply tap on the 'Search' bar at the top of the screen, then input the keywords for the file you desire. For instance, you can search for 'Images,' and the application will further assist by enabling you to look up JPEG or PNG images.
You can also narrow down your search by selecting 'Recent' or 'iCloud Drive' (just below the search bar). Utilizing those tabs, the Files app can swiftly navigate to specific files or folders.
Creating a new folder seamlessly
As soon as you open the File app, you'll see a list of locations under the Browse tab. This is also where you'll find a section called “Recently Deleted”. As you might guess, this is where your deleted files and folders reside, awaiting restoration or permanent deletion.
Now all you need to do is long-press on the file and select Restore. Or, if you want to free up space on your device, simply tap “Delete Now”.
