Navigating the Process
Accessing a Web Browser on a PC

Locate the GIF in your file directory. For Windows users, this typically involves navigating through File Explorer. Mac users will find it in Finder.

Right-click on the GIF. This action will prompt a menu to appear beside your cursor.

Hover over Open with. Typically found in the second set of menu options, this will display a list of programs capable of opening or playing the GIF.

Select your preferred web browser. Common options include Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Internet Explorer.
- If your browser isn't listed, click Choose another app at the bottom. This will present a comprehensive list of all applications installed on your computer, including web browsers.

- You'll also notice the application's icon in your Dock.

Locate the GIF. Most of your downloads are saved by default in the 'Downloads' folder, so if you're having trouble finding it, check there first.

Hit the Space bar once your GIF is selected. The selected file should be highlighted in blue.
- Pressing the Space bar will open a Quick Look window.
Utilizing Photos on Windows

Find the GIF in your file explorer. Most of your downloads are stored in the default 'Downloads' folder, so if you're having trouble locating it, try checking there.

Right-click on the GIF. This action will open a menu to the right of your cursor.

Hover over Open With. Typically found in the second set of menu options, this will display a list of programs capable of opening or playing the GIF.

Click to choose Photos. This will launch the application displaying your GIF. Although you can view the animated image, editing or pausing it is not supported.

Many iOS or Android mobile devices will automatically open GIFs in their respective photo gallery apps.
