Step 1: Download and install the Google Maps app for iPhone
Step 2: Launch Google Maps for iOS on your device. If prompted to use GPS, tap OK. Start by pinpointing your location by tapping the arrow icon at the bottom left.
Step 3: Enter the destination in the search bar at the top of the screen and tap OK. The default mode will be for driving. Tap on it to select your mode of transport and begin routing. The route will be marked in green.
Step 4: Tap on the Menu below and choose the suitable route for yourself.
Step 5: The detailed directions will be zoomed in from your starting point, allowing you to start walking and keep track on the device. You can also zoom in and out by using two fingers on the screen.
Step 6: The 'i' at the bottom right allows you to choose different viewing modes like Satellite, Hybrid, or Marker.
