Creating a New Note on Android & iPhone

Launch Instagram on your Android, iPhone, or iPad. Simply tap the app icon resembling a camera against a pink and orange gradient background.

Tap Note on your profile picture. Spot your profile picture near the screen's top, accompanied by a bubble labeled 'Note…'

Compose your note. Enter a message up to 60 characters, mention someone with an @ tag, include music via the music note, or attach a video lasting up to 2 seconds by tapping the blue camera icon.
- Note: The video must be captured using the front-facing camera and will temporarily replace your profile picture in the inbox.

Choose your audience for the note. Tap the audience button located at the page's bottom. You can opt to share your Note with 'followers you follow back' or 'close friends.'

Click Share. Located in the top right corner of your screen, this will share your Note with the chosen audience.
- Your Instagram Note will be visible for 24 hours in the inboxes of those you've shared it with. After 24 hours, it vanishes permanently!
- Delete your Note by tapping it in your inbox, then selecting Delete Note.
- If you're receiving bothersome Notes, you can easily mute them. You can unmute them at any time.
