In Vietnam, 4G is a widely discussed topic covering tariffs, coverage areas, speeds, and supported phone models and standards. While our previous guide addressed how to check for 4G support, it's incomplete without considering the device's frequency bands as well.
Ensuring your phone supports 4G involves two methods: checking by phone brand/model and using the phone's IMEI number. For instance, for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 EDGE, navigate to Settings => Mobile networks => Network mode => LTE/WCD-MA/GSM. For iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, and 6s Plus, go to Settings => Mobile Data => Voice & Data => LTE.
For Nomia Lumia 930: Settings => Mobile network+SIM => Highest connection speed => 4G
For Blackberry (PassPort): Settings => Network and connections => Network mode => 4G&3G or 4G&3G&2G
2.2. Checking via IMEI Number- Press *#06# to retrieve your phone's IMEI number, then visit this link to check your device information. If LTE information is available, it means your phone supports 4G.
