The Samsung Galaxy S5 introduces a unique feature called the 'Download Booster' for the first time. Essentially, this mode leverages both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE high-speed connections simultaneously for file downloads.
Activating this function is straightforward. The key is knowing that this mode exists. To enable the 'Download Booster' on the Samsung Galaxy S5, toggle both Mobile Data and Wi-Fi connections simultaneously. Swipe down the notification bar and navigate through the toggles on the left-hand side, which is the default Samsung location for the 'Download Booster' mode. If you cannot locate the 'Download Booster' activation, access it through Settings and enable this mode from there. By default, it appears as a blue icon at the topmost row.
Note that on certain versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 for U.S. carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint, the Download Booster feature may be omitted. T-Mobile is the only major U.S. carrier that supports this feature.
