It's been reported that at CES 2023, MediaTek also introduced some Wi-Fi chips from the Filogic series. MediaTek Filogic 360 is the compact version of the previously released Filogic 380. It's tailored for smartphones, laptops, routers, and different IoT devices. This chip is capable of performing basic Wi-Fi 7 functions including supporting multi-device connections, multi-input, multi-output (MU-MIMO), 4096 QAM, and download speeds of up to 2.9Gbps. It also offers dual Bluetooth 5.4 connections and supports LE audio.
MediaTek launches new duo of Wi-Fi 7 chips: Filogic 360 and Filogic 860On the other hand, the Filogic 860 chip features a 3-core CPU and is a smaller version of MediaTek's Filogic 880. It provides automatic frequency coordination, 160Hz channel bandwidth, and 4096 QAM. The maximum bandwidth of Filogic 860 is 7.2Gbps. It supports single Ethernet connections of up to 10Gbps. This chip can also include USB 3.2 ports if wireless router manufacturers desire to produce them. MediaTek Filogic 860 has a CPU with 3 Cortex-A78 cores clocked at a maximum speed of 1.8 GHz. Additionally, it includes an NPU to assist the CPU in handling heavy tasks.
