MediaTek recently announced the development of its first 3nm processor in collaboration with TSMC. The company has now launched the Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, the successor to the Dimensity 7200 released earlier this year.
Introducing the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 UltraMediaTek's latest processor boasts 8 processing cores and is built on an advanced 4nm process. It comes equipped with 2 Cortex A715 cores along with 6 Cortex 510 cores and features an ARM Mali-G610 GPU. This processor supports both LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM with a maximum frequency of 6400 MHz.
The Dimensity 7200 Ultra is compatible with cameras up to 200MP and offers the ability to record 4K@30 frames per second video. It can also handle Full-HD+ at a refresh rate of 144Hz. This processor is accompanied by MediaTek's 5th generation APU for AI processing and features the Imagiq 765 ISP for 14-bit HDR image processing.
The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is also compatible with 5G, along with support for dual 5G standby mode, VoNR, and carrier aggregation. MediaTek has announced that more detailed information about the processor will be shared in the coming days. The Redmi Note 13 series will be among the first to use this SoC.
